Yes, all private notes are securely stored and transmitted. Password-protected notes are encrypted, and we follow security best practices to protect your data.

It depends on the visibility setting you choose:

• Public: Anyone with the link can view
• Hidden: Only people with the link can view (not listed publicly)
• Private: Password required to view

Notes are stored based on your expiry settings:

• Never expire: Stored until manually deleted
• 24 hours: Automatically deleted after 1 day
• 7 days: Automatically deleted after 1 week
• Self-destruct: Deleted immediately after first view

If you created the note from the same browser, you'll see an "Edit" button that allows you to delete the note. Otherwise, you can wait for the automatic expiry.

Self-destruct mode automatically deletes your note immediately after it's viewed once. This is perfect for sharing sensitive information that should only be seen once.

Edit codes allow you to modify or delete your note later. When creating a note, you can set an edit code that you'll use to access the edit features.

Currently, you can change a note's password after creation.

Yes! When creating a note, you can specify a custom slug (URL ending) to create memorable links like "your-site.com/my-note".

This usually means:

• The note has expired
• The note was deleted
• Self-destruct mode was activated
• The URL is incorrect

For security reasons, we cannot recover passwords for private notes. If you've lost the password, you'll need to create a new note.

Without the edit code, you cannot modify the note. However, if you're using the same browser where you created the note, you might see an edit button automatically.
